AUSCOAL Super offers members a tax-effective account-based pension that allows you to access your super as a regular fortnightly income stream. If you've got at least $15,000 to invest, you're 55 or over and an AUSCOAL member you can invest your super savings in an account-based pension and choose to:

• Fully retire, or
• Transition to retirement by reducing your working hours (if you wish) and supplementing your income with regular pension payments, or
• Boost your super quickly by contributing part of your pre-tax income into super while drawing up to 10% of your pension account balance each year - a combination that can effectively reduce your marginal tax-rate to 15%.
  
  

  WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF AN ACCOUNT-BASED PENSION?

  Flexible - you invest your super savings in an account so that you can receive a regular income and make lump sum withdrawals (when you need that extra cash). Tax effective, Centrelink-friendly and it lets you take care of your beneficiaries. Tax-free investment earnings. Tax-free payments if you're over 60 and a 15% tax offset to reduce the tax on your payments if you're between 55 and 59.
